When hiring puppeteers there are many factors to consider beyond lip sync, such as manipulation, vocal ability and  improv skills.

Wrangling

An intergral part of working with puppets is having a puppet wrangler at your shoot.  Wranglers are basically the hair, makeup, costuming and prop department for puppets and ensure that the puppets are camera ready.  If a puppet needs to hold a prop, the wrangler rigs it. 

Consulting

The challenges of producing a puppet project doesn’t end with the commissioning of a custom built puppet.   There are several tried and true methods, tips and tricks that accompany shooting with puppets.
